The SDSU Retirement Association announces the availability of scholarships starting  August 13, 2012 for SDSU students whose parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, aunt  or uncle was or is a full-time employee with a tenure track or permanent appointment. Current and former auxiliary employees' children are also eligible to apply.  The next scholarship period will be the 2013 - 2014 academic year.  Applicants must have a completed at least one semester at SDSU or a college/university and earned a minimum, overall 2.75 grade point average.   Previous recipients are eligible to apply.  Students may access the information and apply on-line at http://www.sa.sdsu.edu/scholarship/index.html or they need to click on scholarships and enter "all majors."  From there, they need to scroll to the SDSU Retirement Association Scholarship.  A 500 word essay must also be attached to the application.  At the top of your essay, please identify your qualifying relative.  The deadline for the 2013/2014 scholarships is February 8, 2013 at 4:00 PM Pacific Time.  Scholarships will be awarded at the SDSU Retirees annual Spring luncheon.
